GreenTech Automotive Receives Certification For Export of US-Made Vehicles to Europe Certification Represents "Significant Milestone" For Global Sales Plan
McLean, Virginia, September 22, 2011 -- GreenTech Automotive (GTA) has announced that its Mississippi automobile assembly plant has successfully completed the certification process for export of its products to Europe. The certification audit was conducted by LuxControl SA on-site at the plant and confirmed by the Transport Division of the Luxembourg Ministry for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure (SNCH) on September 19, 2011.
"This certification represents a significant milestone for GreenTech Automotive," said Alan Himelfarb, GTA Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning. "With this approval, we take an important step towards export of our first vehicle, MyCar. Our experienced team did a tremendous job in a compressed timeframe to demonstrate our production readiness and commitment to the level of quality necessary to meet stringent European requirements."
GreenTech Automotive recently completed its first distribution agreement with the Danish partnership Greenabout, announced September 7, 2011. Discussions are underway with other interested distributors throughout Europe.
The redesigned, US-made MyCar will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
