We drove 'em both at the 2011 Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Berlin, Germany earlier this year, and now it's the rest of the world's turn to strap in behind the wheels of the Renault Fluence Z.E. and Kangoo Z.E. electric vehicles in one of the largest and longest media events for a plug-in vehicle we've ever heard of.
From September 29 through mid-November, Renault will present two of its electrified machines to the international press. The French automaker has chosen Portugal as the site for this colossal test drive and expects some 720 journalists from around the globe to come drive the 70 Fluence Z.E. and Kangoo Z.E. vehicles on hand.
They'll come from far and wide, says Renault, with media types from all of Europe, and even far away lands, including Australia, India, China, Singapore , Israel, Russia, Morocco, Algeria, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico, expected to attend the 45-day test drive event. Why Portugal? Well, it's got chargers, loads of them.
