Mitsubishi intends to introduce a small electrified commuter car and diesel hybrid pickup truck concepts at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show now taking place.
The photo of the truck which looks somewhat like a Honda Ridgeline has been leaked, and is said to be a one-ton. It is reportedly utilizing Mitsubishi’s Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) AWD system, although many details are not known.
The all-wheel drive hybrid could make use of power units already in Mitsubishi’s stable, such as the 123 hp turbocharged diesel engine along with a 47 hp electric motor already in use in the Canter Eco hybrid commercial truck.
This truck is produced by Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Co. which is owned by Daimler AG.
We’ll post more as we learn more.
